Enterprise Ireland has named Christopher McBreaty of the National University of Ireland Galway as the Student Entrepreneur of the Year. He won 10,000 Euros and was one of ten finalists. His technology can help doctors detect early prostrate cancer.

“Cork Institute of Technology’s John Colbert, David O’Connor, Elise Kenneally and Michael Goggin (StomAssure), University of Ulster’s Jenny Gregg (Crafted Equestrian) and Technological University Dublin’s Daniel Izquierdo Hijazi, Sean Smith, Tara McElligott and Jose Lopez Escobar (Micron Agritech Limited) also received prize money – €5,000 each – for their concepts.”
