The Berkeley Entrepreneurship Association (BEA) at the University of California Berkeley helps connect students with entrepreneurship by helping students launch or join a startup by partnering with top startups, communities, and accelerators. The BEA also connects students with the ecosystem at U Cal Berkeley and allows students to learn more about entrepreneurship by providing a vast network of alumni, technical and business students, angels, and incubators.
The BEA offers a ten week experiential program called “Step” which acts as the first step into entrepreneurship. Step allows students who are new to entrepreneurship to get a taste of it, and provides those who have a concrete plan with the resources and support to succeed. Step grants the opportunity to these entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to investors at the end of the ten week program.
