T-Mobile awards Academies of Loudoun students seed funding for tech startup

AmityConnections, a health-focused tech startup founded by Academy of Loudoun juniors Kushi Sethuram and Karthik Ramu, has been named among the top 30 winning teams in the 2019 T-Mobile Changemaker Challenge. The company will receive $2,000 in seed funding. Sethuram, 16, and Ramu, 17, both reside in Aldie and attend the Academy of Engineering & Technology. Last school year they took a dual-enrollment entrepreneurship class and for a project were challenged to formulate a business idea based on an issue close to their hearts.
