The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)

The NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation assists students with several awards for qualified candidates attending  vocational and trade schools, community colleges, and four-year colleges and universities. One annual winner receives $10,000.00, through the Young Entrepreneur Awards program, while four regional winners each receive $5,000.00. Additional awards valued at $1,000.00 each are also available.

Applicants are evaluated based on entrepreneurial experience, GPA, and SAT scores.

Entrepreneurship Scholarships

Entrepreneurship scholarships are for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own business and may be strapped for funds. Entrepreneurs are also great for the economy. So many sources want to see the next generation succeed. Some awards may be for business majors. People who want to be their own boss and start their own business one day. There are other scholarships that reward innovators, leaders and self starters with a business plan regardless of your major.

Xavier University, Williams College of Business

Xavier University offers an academic major in entrepreneurialism.  The curriculum prepares graduates to recognize, and capitalize, on new opportunities within the marketplace.  One-$18,000.00 scholarship is awarded annually, issued by the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund. Juniors attending XU for their senior years are eligible to apply for the scholarship assistance. In addition to academic ability, each applicant’s entrepreneurial experience, leadership ability, and involvement in extracurricular community activities is taken into account, when reviewing candidates.


McKelvey Foundation

The McKelvey Foundation provides valuable educational assistance – totalling more than $40,000 for each winner.  Scholarships valued up to $10,000 each are awarded annually, for up to four years of college, for entrepreneurial students who have started their own businesses.  Program participants also earn access to a widespread network of self-employed individuals, providing guidance and modelling assistance for young entrepreneurs.

Education is valuable, but it can also be costly. Paying for college on top of everyday expenses can be difficult, and every little bit can help! To show thanks for the sacrifices made by the United States military and their families, Education Connection is offering a scholarship worth $1,000. We hope to help offset the costs of earning a degree and pursuing those next steps in your civilian career path.

The winner can use the $1,000 tuition voucher for any cost related to his or her college. Some restrictions may apply based on the school.

Cyber Security Scholarship

PAYING FOR YOUR CYBER SECURITY DEGREE WITH A CYBER SECURITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

To apply for the scholarship, all applicants have to do is complete a short entry form and submit a 250-word essay, answering the question: “Why have you chosen to enter the field of cybersecurity?

It’s not news, school is expensive. With Cyber Security degree programs all over, there are many options to choose from. So, thrifty students are finding a way to enroll. There are lots of ways to make it happen like with a cyber security college scholarship, for example. In fact, the American Association of Community Colleges cited that of all the students that apply to college in the 2015 school year, 73% applied for Financial Aid. Not all of them got it, though. In the 2016 school year, 59% of enrolled students received aid.


NASE Dependents Scholarship Program

NASE Scholarships – $3,000 Awards

The NASE Future Entrepreneur Scholarship provides up to $24,000.00 in funding  for qualified students who demonstrate skills and abilities conducive to independent employment. $12,000.00 is awarded the first year; followed by $4,000.00 during each of the next three years of study.

High school seniors and undergraduate students who are dependents of NASE members, are eligible to compete for NASE Scholarships, which are each worth $4,000.00. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership ability, recommendations from instructors, and participation in school and community activities.

The newest entry in the NASE stable of financial assistance for entrepreneurs is a program serving continuing education.  NASE members are eligible for Succeed Scholarships, which provide up to $4000 for each qualified participant.  The scholarships assist members who seek continuing education at colleges and universities, and also provides funding for costs associated with licensing and certification.  Approved seminars and conferences are also underwritten by Succeed Scholarship awards.

Scholarships help aspiring IST entrepreneurs pursue degrees, business ventures

Each year, students are able to advance their education thanks to the generosity of scholarship donors. For many, that support also enables them to pursue experiential opportunities. Alexander Mellott, senior in security and risk analysis, and Jacob Makarsky, senior in information sciences and technology, are two of those students.


Babson College

Babson College has a number of scholarships for entrepreneurial potential including the Blank Scholarship, and the Junior Achievement Scholarship.

Blitz

Blitz, a sales software company, offers $1000 scholarships to undergraduate students based on writing a winning essay.

FormSwift

The FormSwift Scholarship Program is awarded four times per year to students that submit the winning business plan infographic.

GreenPal

GreenPal offers a scholarship to student entrepreneurs in the amount of $2000, which is awarded in 4 – $500 disbursements over a four-year period of undergraduate education.

Grasshopper

Grasshopper, which products and services serve entrepreneurs, offers a scholarship to an essay winner in the amount of $5000.

Kitchen Cabinet

Kitchen Cabinet offers a scholarship in the amount of $5000 to student entrepreneurs who write the best essay on an entrepreneurial topic each year. Learn more here:

Franchise Opportunities offers a $2,000 to a US undergraduate student who writes the best essay answering a question about what sort of business they would start and why.

Rapid Formations offers scholarships to university undergraduate entrepreneurs in the amount of GBP 500 (USD 750.00). 

Soft Lender

Soft Lender, which helps people build their credit, offers a $1000 scholarship to aspiring student entrepreneurs. The reward is based on an essay that answers a question about building credit. .  The deadline is usually in July.

Test Prep IQ

Test Prep IQ helps students with test prep for standardized tests. It offers a scholarship each year in the amount of $2500.
